Proxy merchants become more important

Proxy merchants are people who facilitate trades between two markets that cannot communicate directly. Imagine that cryptocurrencies are banned completely and everyone is forced to trade using governments’ Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs). Many people would call this the end of crypto, but I think it just signals the rise of opportunities for proxy merchants to solve this problem. Say you want to buy a car or a house. A proxy merchant is someone who has the necessary structure to make it happen. You pay them in crypto, they pay for your house or car. It might be in the form of selling you an offshore company that owns the property (thus using different rules - a change in another government’s database), or something similar.
